§2113. Letting contracts
Any and all contracts of the district may be let by the governing authority thereof without advertisement, but the governing authority may provide for a public letting of any of its contracts if it sees fit, on the terms, and subject to the conditions, which it may fix in the ordinance calling for bids. The person to whom the contract is awarded shall furnish, within the delay fixed by the governing authority, a bond of a surety company authorized to do business in Louisiana, in the amount required by law relating to contracts for public works, and conditioned that the work shall be performed in accordance with the plans and specifications and the terms of the contract, and the governing authority thereof shall demand any other bonds and obligations which the laws
