§2107. Board of commissioners; qualifications; term; compensation
All irrigation districts formed or created under the provisions of this Part shall be governed and controlled by five commissioners to be known as a board of commissioners. Each commissioner must be a qualified elector of Louisiana and must reside within the limits of the district. He must be the record owner of lands in the district of an assessed value of two thousand dollars, or must be the representative of some corporation owning lands in the district of an assessed value of two thousand dollars. A representative of a corporation shall be designated to represent the corporation by resolution of the board of directors to that effect.
