Text

A. Any two or more of the regional planning commissions are authorized to form an association for the purpose of coordinating comprehensive planning and development programs for the resolution of economic, social, physical, and governmental problems of the state and its citizens. B. The association may exercise any and all powers necessary or appropriate to effectuate this purpose, including but not limited to the following powers:

(1)To enter into agreements or other transactions with any federal, state, or local governmental agency and with private sector organizations.
(2)To apply for and receive state and other funds for distribution to the regional planning commissions belonging to the association based upon allocation formulas developed by these commissions.
