§316. Operating funds; appropriations by the legislature
A.The department shall include in its annual budget request required by R.S. 39:32
a request for funds necessary for support of the commission. The governor shall include in
the executive budget submitted to the legislature sufficient funding for the support of the
operations of the commission.
B.Funds appropriated by the legislature to the department for the operation of the
commission shall be used solely for that purpose. No administrative costs of any kind shall
be charged by the department for any services associated with placement of the commission
within the jurisdiction of the department.
