§315. Louisiana Music Commission; creation; membership A.
(1)The Louisiana Music Commission, referred to in this Chapter as the
"commission", is established in the office of cultural development within the Department of
Culture, Recreation and Tourism, referred to in this Chapter as the "department", and shall
be domiciled in the greater Baton Rouge area. The commission shall be composed of fifteen
persons.
(2)Thirteen members of the commission shall be appointed by the lieutenant
governor, at least one of whom shall be a member of a minority, for a term concurrent with
that of the lieutenant governor making the appointment. Each appointment by the lieutenant
governor shall be submitted to the Senate for confirmation.
