(a)Upon the filing of a petition as provided for in K.S.A. 59-3058, 59-3059, 59-3060, 59-3061 or 59-3062, and amendments thereto, or at any time thereafter until the trial provided for in K.S.A. 59-3067, and amendments thereto, the court may enter any of the following:
(1)An order for an investigation and report concerning the proposed ward's or proposed conservatee's family relationships, past conduct, the nature and extent of any property or income of the proposed ward or proposed conservatee; whether the proposed ward or proposed conservatee is likely to injure self or others, or other matters as the court may specify. If requested to do so by the court, the secretary for children and families shall conduct this investigation. Otherwise, the court may appoint any other person who is q
