Whenever the board of supervisors of any drainage district adopts a resolution to disorganize and dissolve such drainage district in accordance with the provisions of this act the adoption of such resolution shall not change or alter the rights of any creditor or claimant of the district, nor the rights of the drainage district against any party, nor any cause of action against or in favor of such district, but all such shall survive in favor of or against the board of trustees. The board of trustees shall collect and acquire all such property and assets of the district and preserve the same, and shall have authority, without court order, to sell or contract to sell any part or all of such assets and property upon such conditions and for such consideration as the board of trustees shall deem advisable. All proceeds from the sale of any such property and assets shall be applied by the board of trustees upon the payment of the indebtedness of the drainage district.
