Text

Each telegraph company or other corporation operating a telegraph line failing or neglecting to comply with the provisions of K.S.A. 17-1910 shall be liable to a penalty of ten dollars ($10) for each day of such failure or neglect, to be recovered and paid to the state treasurer pursuant to K.S.A. 20-2801, and any amendments thereto, the same as other fines and penalties; the action for such penalty being prosecuted by the county attorney, with the state of Kansas as plaintiff, and before any court of competent jurisdiction.
