§ 17-1319 — City or association; permanent maintenance fund; use and investment

Kansas·Ch. 17 CORPORATIONS·Art. 13 CEMETERY CORPORATIONS
Any city owning a cemetery and any cemetery association incorporated under the laws of this state may receive, acquire and hold donations or bequests in a permanent fund to be invested as the donor may direct or if the donor has not specified, such fund shall be invested in investments authorized by K.S.A. 12-1675, and amendments thereto, in the manner prescribed therein or in bonds of the United States or of the state of Kansas, or any municipality thereof. The interest on such investments shall be used by such city or association in defraying the expense incurred in keeping the lots and grounds of such cemetery in proper and suitable condition. Such permanent fund shall never be used for any other purpose than as above stated.
