Text
This act shall not affect the rights nor decrease the pension or disability or retirement benefits of any officer or member of any fire or police department, or his or her dependent or dependents, who has been killed, permanently disabled, or retired under any previously authorized and existing pension or retirement system, nor shall any officer or any member of any fire or police department in service at the time of the effective date of this act, who is at said time entitled to a pension or disability benefit, receive any deduction in the pension or disability benefit to which he or she is entitled under existing laws in force at the effective date of this act. All such pensions and benefits shall be paid from the policemen's pension fund or the firemen's pension fund created by this act
