Text

(a)If the municipal legislative body decides to make grants under section 5 of this chapter, it must enter into and confirm by ordinance a contract with the urban mass transportation system. The contract must provide for the payment of money by the municipality to the system in the amounts and at the times determined by the parties, and may include other terms and conditions determined by the parties. However, the contract may not:
(1)require the system to repay the grants to the municipality;
(2)exceed ten (10) years in duration; or
(3)require the municipality to make grants to a system that has ceased operations within the municipality.
