Text

A municipality that establishes or acquires an urban mass transportation system under this chapter, or a municipality that has a privately owned urban mass transportation system and has received a request from the management of the system, may apply for aid from any federal or state government agency. A municipality acting under this section may:

(1)perform any act or acts lawfully required; or
(2)execute and perform agreements necessary or convenient; to obtain the aid without limitation by the provisions of this chapter, except that a municipality may not interfere with any right, interest, or part of any other public transportation system without the consent of the other system.
