§ 36-8-7-2 — "Fire company" defined

As used in this chapter, "fire company" means each organization or group doing duty as part of the fire department, including engine companies, hose companies, those in the telephone or telegraph service, inspectors, mechanics, watchmen, and others in charge of apparatus for extinguishing fires.
