§ 36-8-7-17 — Eligibility for employment; physical examinations; age requirements

(a)The local board may require and provide for a physical examination of applicants for employment in the fire department.
(b)A person who:
(1)is at least thirty-six (36) years of age; or
(2)fails to pass the physical examination required by the local board; may not be appointed, reappointed, or reinstated as a member of the fire department. [Pre-Local Government Recodification Citations: subsection
