§ 36-8-6-15 — Ineligibility of certain employees for pension plan

A pension may not be paid to an employee of the police department who at the time of the employee's appointment was thirty-six (36) years of age or older, or who failed at that time to pass the medical examination required by the board. However, such a person is exempt from paying or contributing to the 1925 fund. [Pre-Local Government Recodification Citation: 19-1-24-4 part.] As added by Acts 1981, P.L.309, SEC.55.
