§ 36-8-4-2 — Member residency
Indiana·Title 36 LOCAL GOVERNMENT·Art. 8 PUBLIC SAFETY·Ch. 4 Police and Fire Employment Policies in Cities
Members of the police and fire departments are not subject to residency requirements but must:
(1)have adequate means of transportation into the jurisdiction
served by the member's department; and
(2)maintain telephone service to communicate with the
department.
