(a)This section also applies to all members of a fire department organized by a town.
(b)Members of the police and fire departments are exempt from service in the militia, except in case of war, invasion, or insurrection. [Pre-Local Government Recodification Citations: 18-1-11-13; 19-1-39-1.] As added by Acts 1981, P.L.309, SEC.52. Amended by P.L.4-1998, SEC.14.
