§ 36-8-15-2 — "Board" defined

As used in this chapter, "board" means the following:
(1)In a county having a consolidated city, a board established by
and operated as set forth in an ordinance of the city-county
legislative body.
(2)In a county not having a consolidated city, the board of
commissioners.
