(a)At the first regular meeting each year, the trustees of the board shall elect a chair and vice chair from their number. The vice chair shall act as chair during the absence or disability of the chair.
(b)A majority of the trustees constitutes a quorum. An action of the board is official, however, only if it is authorized by a majority of the trustees at a regular or properly called special meeting.
(c)Each trustee may receive not more than one hundred dollars ($100) a day for each day devoted to the work of the district. In addition, each trustee may be reimbursed for actual expenses, including traveling expense at a rate equivalent to that provided by statute for state employees.
