§ 36-7-4-1209 — Township joinder; planning and zoning cost
ADVISORY. As a condition to the
acceptance of the petition, the legislative body of a municipality or
county may stipulate that the township contract with it for the payment
of an equitable amount of the cost of planning and zoning within the
township. If the municipality or county believes that it is to its
advantage, it may agree to provide planning and zoning services
without cost to the township.
