§ 36-7-4-1209 — Township joinder; planning and zoning cost

ADVISORY. As a condition to the acceptance of the petition, the legislative body of a municipality or county may stipulate that the township contract with it for the payment of an equitable amount of the cost of planning and zoning within the township. If the municipality or county believes that it is to its advantage, it may agree to provide planning and zoning services without cost to the township.
