3.Notwithstanding the amendments made to section 207 of this chapter by P.L.225-1997, an area plan commission that existed before May 12, 1997, may continue to operate until January 1, 1999, under section 207 of this chapter as it existed before May 12, 1997. Any actions taken after June 30, 1997, and before January 1, 1999, by an area plan commission operating under this section that otherwise comply with the Area Planning Law are legalized and validated.
