1. The following amendments to this chapter apply as follows:

(1)The amendments made to sections 501, 502, 503, 504, 505, 506, 507, 508, 509, 510, 511, 512, 601, 602, 603, 604, 605, 606, 607, 608, 609, 610, 611, 612, and 701 of this chapter by P.L.335-1985 do not affect a proposal initiated before September 1, 1986, to amend, repeal, or otherwise change a comprehensive plan or zoning ordinance under IC 36-7-4. Such a proposal may be considered, adopted, and approved under the statutes in effect before September 1, 1986, as if P.L.335-1985 had not been enacted.

(2)The addition of sections 613 and 614 of this chapter by P.L.335-1985 does not affect a proposal initiated before September 1, 1986, to amend, repeal, or otherwise change a comprehensive plan or zoning ordinance under IC 36-7-4.

510, 511, 601, 602, 603, 604, 605, 606, 610, 612, 711, 712, 801,
802, 1014, and 1020 of this chapter by P.L.220-1986 do not affect
a proposal initiated before September 1, 1986, to amend, repeal,
or otherwise change a comprehensive plan or zoning ordinance
under IC 36-7-4. Such a proposal may be considered, adopted,
and approved under the statutes in effect before September 1,
1986, as if P.L.220-1986 had not been enacted.
