§ 36-7-30-34 — Military base reuse authority; public utility providing water service

(a)This section applies to a reuse authority that owns or acquires a public utility (as defined in IC 8-1-2-1) established to provide water service.

(b)The reuse authority shall operate the public utility as a municipal water utility in accordance with IC 8-1.5-3, and has all the powers and duties of:

(1)the board (as defined in IC 8-1.5-3-2); and

(2)the municipal legislative body; under IC 8-1.5-3 with respect to the operation of its municipal water utility.
