Changes in a resolution governing an improvement and maintenance district may be made by the commission, with the approval of the legislative body. The commission shall follow the procedure for establishment of a district prescribed by this chapter when amending the resolution. However, the content of notices must be appropriate to the nature of the amendment. In considering the amendment, the commission shall use the standards set forth in section 9(b) of this chapter. However, if the improvement and maintenance project is not significantly changed, and if the area of the improvement and maintenance project is not proposed to be changed, it is not necessary to make the determination set forth in section 9(b)(5) of this chapter.
