§ 36-6-7-2 — Appointment; removal; responsibility

An officer of a township may appoint and
remove all deputies and other employees in the officer's office, shall
appoint deputies and other employees necessary for the proper
discharge of the officer's duties, and is responsible for the official acts
of the officer's deputies and other employees.
