(a)Except as provided in subsections (b) and
(c), two (2) members of the legislative body constitute a quorum.
(b)Before January 1, 2017, four (4) members of the legislative body in a county containing a consolidated city constitute a quorum. After December 31, 2016, three (3) members of the legislative body in a county having a consolidated city constitute a quorum.
(c)This subsection applies to a township government that:
(1)is created by a merger of township governments under IC 36-6-1.5; and
(2)elects the township legislative body under section 2.1 of this chapter. A majority of the members of the township legislative body constitute a quorum. If a township legislative body has an even number of members, the township executive shall serve by virtue of office as a member of the tow
