§ 36-4-6-11 — Majority vote; two-thirds vote

(a)A requirement that an ordinance, resolution, or other action of the legislative body be passed by a majority vote means at least a majority vote of all the elected members.

(b)A requirement that an ordinance, resolution, or other action of the legislative body be passed by a two-thirds (2/3) vote means at least a two-thirds (2/3) vote of all the elected members. [Pre-Local Government Recodification Citation: 18-1-3-2 part.] As added by Acts 1980, P.L.212, SEC.3.
