(a)The definitions in IC 8-14-1 apply throughout this section.
(b)Beginning in calendar year 2024, the following amounts must be used by the consolidated city for the construction, reconstruction, and preservation of the consolidated city's local streets (as defined in IC 8-14-2-1(9)) and alleys:
(1)One hundred percent (100%) of the money distributed to the consolidated city under section 2(2) of this chapter that is attributable to the consolidated city's population in Wayne, Pike, and Decatur townships not included in the population of the fire special service district.
(2)In addition to the money distributed under subdivision (1), an appropriation by the consolidated city in an amount that is the greater of the following:
(A)Eight million dollars ($8,000,000).
