§ 36-3-4-10 — Ordinance or resolution; majority vote; two-thirds vote

(a)A requirement that an ordinance or resolution of a legislative body be passed by a majority vote means at least a majority vote of all the elected members.

(b)A requirement that an ordinance or resolution of a legislative body be passed by a two-thirds (2/3) vote means at least a two-thirds (2/3) vote of all the elected members. [Pre-Local Government Recodification Citations: 18-4-5-1(f) part; 18-1-3-2 part.] As added by Acts 1980, P.L.212, SEC.2.
