Text

Any changes in the sum per mile that the state establishes by July 1 of any year shall be included in the compensation that the county fiscal body fixes in that same year to take effect January 1 of the next year. However, the fiscal body may, by ordinance, provide for the change in the sum per mile to take effect before January 1 of the next year.
