Text

(a)The county surveyor may appoint one (1) first or chief deputy, if authorized by the county fiscal body, and also may appoint the number of other full-time or part-time deputies and employees authorized by the county fiscal body.
(b)The surveyor of a county having a population of one hundred sixty-five thousand (165,000) or more may appoint a registered professional civil engineer as bridge engineer.
(c)If a deputy surveyor takes field notes, the deputy surveyor shall return them to the county surveyor within sixty (60) days.
