Text

(a)If a coroner believes that a conflict of interest exists with respect to the exercise of the coroner's official duties in a particular case, the coroner shall:
(1)recuse himself or herself from the case; and
(2)obtain the services of the coroner of another county to fulfill the coroner's official duties in the case.
(b)The coroner of the other county serving under this section shall be reimbursed for all costs incurred in the case by the county in which the conflict of interest exists.
