§ 36-2-11-18 — Marginal entries; satisfaction, cancellation, or assignment; entry in entry book or electronic index
(a)The recorder may allow marginal entries.
(b)If a satisfaction, cancellation, or assignment of any kind is made
on the margin of a record in the recorder's office or entered as an
associated document, the recorder shall immediately enter it on the
entry book or into the electronic index. The entry must show the date
of entry, the name of the person who executed the instrument satisfied,
cancelled, or assigned, and the name, number, and page of the record
where the instrument is recorded.
