(a)Unless otherwise provided in the public library's charter, dissolution of a library district is initiated when the legislative body of each municipality, township, or county that is a part of the district and library board of the district adopt identical resolutions proposing to dissolve the district by an affirmative vote of a majority of the voting members of each legislative body and library board.
(b)Copies of the resolutions adopted under subsection (a) shall be filed not later than ten (10) days after the resolution is adopted with:
(1)the state library; and
(2)the county recorder of each county in which the library district is located.
(c)A dissolution does not take effect until:
(1)all legal and fiscal obligations of the library district have been satisfied;
(2)the assets
