1.

(a)This section applies whenever a district is extended under section 5 of this chapter and the district is located in a county having a population of more than one hundred eighty thousand (180,000) and less than one hundred eighty-five thousand (185,000).
(b)After the district is extended under section 5 of this chapter, the board consists of five (5) commissioners. Three (3) commissioners shall be appointed by the city executive, and two (2) commissioners shall be appointed by the county executive of the county in which the city is located. The commissioners appointed by the county executive must be residents of the areas of the district outside the corporate boundaries of the city.
