(a)This section applies whenever a district is extended under section 5 of this chapter and the district is not located in a county having a population of more than one hundred eighty thousand (180,000) and less than one hundred eighty-five thousand (185,000).
(b)After the district is extended under section 5 of this chapter, the board consists of five (5) commissioners. Two (2) commissioners shall be appointed by the city executive, two (2) commissioners shall be appointed by the county executive of the county in which the city is located, and one (1) commissioner shall be appointed by a majority vote of the presidents of the school boards of the school corporations in the county in which the city is located.
