§ 36-10-4-18 — Ordinance authorizing sale of park lands; disposition of proceeds

If a board decides to sell a part of the park
lands owned by the city, it shall prepare an ordinance authorizing the
sale and submit it to the city legislative body. If the legislative body
passes the ordinance, the land shall be sold as other land of the city is
sold and the proceeds of the sale credited to the department. The
proceeds shall be expended for the improvement of the remaining park
land or for the purchase of other land for park purposes, as the board
considers best for the city.
