Text

(a)The commission is governed by the commission board composed of five (5) members.
(b)The board shall consist of the following five (5) members:
(1)One (1) member appointed by the eligible county executive.
(2)One (1) member appointed by the eligible city executive.
(3)One (1) member appointed by the speaker of the house of representatives.
(4)One (1) member appointed by the president pro tempore of the senate.
(5)One (1) member appointed by the Chair of the Pokagon Band of the Potawatomi.
(c)A legislative member of the board is a nonvoting advisory member. All other members are voting members.
(d)The term of a member is four (4) years. Legislative members of the board serve a two (2) year term ending June 30 of an odd-numbered year. However:
