Text

The legislative bodies of the reorganizing political subdivisions and an adjacent political subdivision may change the boundaries of the reorganized political subdivision by adopting substantially identical resolutions clearly describing the boundary changes. The resolutions must be filed as required by law for a boundary change for the reorganized political subdivision and may not provide for a territory that is smaller than the territory permitted by law for any of the political subdivisions. If the law establishes additional procedures for the annexation or disannexation of the territory of a political subdivision, the political subdivisions changing boundaries must comply with the annexation or disannexation procedures required by law.
