5.

(a)The fiscal body of a county or municipality participating in a regional development authority may, by ordinance, transfer a prescribed amount, for a prescribed period, to a regional development authority to carry out the purposes of IC 36-9-43, including providing local funds to be used as part of a supplemental funding agreement under IC 36-9-43.
(b)The amounts transferred by a county or municipality under subsection (a) may be from:
(1)the general fund or rainy day fund of the county or municipality; or
(2)any other fund of the county or municipality that is not otherwise restricted by law for specified uses.
