Text
Notwithstanding section 16 or 17 of this chapter, if upon the unanimous vote of its entire membership, the commission or a county election board finds that imposition of a civil penalty required to be imposed would be unjust under the circumstances, the commission or board may do either of the following:
(1)Waive the penalty.
(2)Reduce the penalty to an amount specified by the commission
or the board.
