§ 3-8-1-22 — County council member

Indiana·Art. 8 CANDIDATES·Ch. 1 Qualifications for Candidates

A candidate for membership on the county council of a county must:

(1)have resided in the county for at least one (1) year before the election, as provided in Article 6, Section 4 of the Constitution of the State of Indiana; and
(2)have resided in the district in which seeking election, if applicable, for at least six (6) months before the election. [Pre-1986 Recodification Citations: Ind. Const. Art. 6, § 4; 36-2-3-5(a).]
