(a)The statement described in section 1 of this chapter may be filed with the county voter registration office at any time.
(b)A voter who wishes to indicate that the voter's name has changed may also write the necessary information concerning the name change on the poll list under IC 3-11-8-25.1 before the person receives a ballot. The change of name on the voter registration record is effective immediately, and the person may then vote if otherwise qualified.
(c)This subsection applies to a county that has adopted an order under IC 3-7-29-6(a)(1) or is a vote center county under IC 3-11-18.1. A voter described in subsection (b) may indicate that the voter's name has changed by writing the necessary information concerning the name change on election day using the affidavit prescribed b
