§ 3-6-6-5 — Election sheriffs; appointment
(a)Except as provided in section 38 of this
chapter, each county election board shall appoint two (2) election
sheriffs for each precinct in the county.
(b)Each county chairman of a major political party of the county is
entitled to nominate one (1) election sheriff under section 9 of this
chapter.
(c)Except as provided in section 39 of this chapter, the sheriffs
must be voters of the county.
