§ 3-5-9-5 — Government employee may not hold elected office
Except as provided in section 7 of this chapter, an individual is considered to have resigned as:
(1)a government employee when the individual assumes an
elected office of the unit that employs the individual; or
(2)an elected official of the unit when the individual becomes a
government employee of the unit.
