§ 3-12-11-7 — Amendment of petition or cross-petition
Indiana·Art. 12 ASCERTAINING RESULTS OF ELECTIONS·Ch. 11 Recount and Contest Procedures for Presidential
(a)Except as provided in subsection (b) or (c),
the state recount commission may allow a petition or cross-petition to
be amended at any time upon the terms and conditions that the state
recount commission orders.
(b)The commission may not allow a petition or cross-petition to be
amended following the deadline for filing a petition or cross-petition
under this chapter if the petition or cross-petition as originally filed:
(1)failed to comply with section 3 or section 6 of this chapter; or
(2)was not filed before the deadline specified in section 2 or
section 4 of this chapter.
(c)The commission may not allow a candidate who filed a petition
or cross-petition to amend the petition or cross-petition by striking a
precinct in which the candidate had desired a recount unless each
