Text
(a)On the day following the completion of
a recount for the election to the offices of governor and lieutenant
governor, the election division shall prepare two (2) certified
statements for the secretary of state under the secretary of state's seal
showing the total number of votes that each candidate received.
(b)The secretary of state shall transmit the statements to:
(1)the speaker of the house of representatives; and
(2)the president pro tempore of the senate;
before the date specified in Article 5, Section 9 of the Constitution of
the State of Indiana for the beginning of the term of the governor.
