§ 3-12-11-19 — Recount certificate; certified copy as prima facie evidence of votes cast

Except in recount proceedings for an election to the offices of governor and lieutenant governor and legislative offices, a recount certificate made under section 18 of this chapter supersedes all previous returns made in any form of the recounted votes. A certified copy of a recount certificate constitutes prima facie evidence of the votes cast for nomination or election to the office in the precincts in any proceeding in which there is an issue as to the votes cast at the election for the nomination or election to office.
