Text

A ballot on which a voter writes:

(1)the voter's name;
(2)the voter's initials;
(3)a number; or
(4)a symbol (such as a star, circle, parallel lines, dots, or any combination of such symbols), if written with the intent to enable a person to determine who cast the ballot; is void. [Pre-1986 Recodification Citations: 3-1-25-18(h); 3-1-28-8 part.]
