Text
(a)Each ballot rejected for any of the
reasons prescribed by section 13 of this chapter shall, without being
unfolded to disclose how the ballot is marked, be endorsed with the
words: "Rejected (giving the reason or reasons for the rejection).".
(b)All rejected absentee ballots shall be enclosed and securely
sealed in an envelope on which the absentee ballot counters shall write
the words: "Rejected absentee ballots". The absentee ballot counters
shall also identify the precinct and the date of the election on the
envelope containing the rejected ballots.
(c)The rejected absentee ballots shall be returned to the same
officer and in the same manner as prescribed by this title for the return
and preservation of official ballots cast and uncast at the election.
